RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitoring & Control

- Monitor store premises using CCTV cameras and physical patrols to detect and deter suspicious activity.
- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor to discourage potential theft and ensure visible security.
- Perform facility check rounds to ensure proper functioning and identify risks or anomalies.
- Immediately report any breakage, defect, or situation that may compromise store safety.

Loss Prevention Strategies

- Implement and enforce loss prevention policies and procedures to minimize stock loss, including theft, fraud, and employee‑related issues.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to security systems and procedures.
- Verify the functioning of essential equipment (security systems, cameras, alarms) and report failures.

Incident Investigation

- Conduct investigations in cases of theft, fraud, or any security violation, ensuring evidence is properly collected, documented, and reported.
- Work closely with law enforcement when necessary to support investigations and provide required information.
- Document incidents related to facilities (major breakages, operational risks, structural issues) and assist the supervisor in root‑cause analysis.

Customer Service & Training

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients and staff with security concerns, responding to questions, and advising on best loss‑prevention practices.
- Train store employees on loss prevention, including identifying suspicious behaviors, reporting incidents, and respecting safety protocols.

Safety & Emergency Response





- Monitor safety risks or emergency situations and respond quickly.
- Assist in managing emergency procedures, including evacuation protocols, first aid, and crisis management.
- Support the implementation of facility‑related emergency measures (power outages, infrastructure issues, evacuations).

Facilities: Coordination & Maintenance

- Collaborate with store management and cross‑functional teams to develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Maintain effective communication channels with management, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure a secure retail environment.
- Coordinate vendor access to facilities (repairs, maintenance, cleaning, security) and follow up on interventions.
- Proactively communicate facility issues to store management and the supervisor.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Post‑secondary education.
- Proven experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field, preferably in retail.
- Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques, security systems, and best practices.
- Excellent observation and monitoring abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to make quick decisions and remain calm under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional interaction with clients and staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Loss Prevention (LP) card and certification required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
