Role: Construction Manager – High Voltage CT Replacement & 500kV Circuit Breakers
Location: Mica Creek, BC (Approximately 140 km north of Revelstoke, BC)
Work Schedule: 4 days on / 3 days off (negotiable)
Contract Duration: April 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
Compensation:
- Max T4 Rate: $88.12/hour
- Max INC Rate: $106.62/hour
Location Requirement: The successful candidate must be located in the Okanagan region (~400 km radius), including Kelowna, Kamloops, or Vernon.
Role Overview:
This is a primarily field-based role supporting the installation and commissioning of high-voltage generator neutral current transformers and 500kV circuit breakers. The Construction Manager will coordinate internal construction resources and manage contract administration to ensure protected, timely, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal construction resources for:
- Installation and commissioning of 500 MW generator neutral Current Transformers.
- Installation and commissioning of three (3) single-phase 500kV Circuit Breakers.
- Plan and schedule
- Outage and isolation requirements.
- Construction and commissioning activities.
- Internal operations and resource needs.
- Develop and oversee the construction schedule and commissioning plan.
- Manage a small team of Construction Officers,
ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Administer Construction and Supply & Install contracts as needed.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and address construction-related inquiries.
- Support project team in claims management and cross-functional coordination.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of construction management experience (or equivalent).
- Strong background in industrial and high-voltage electrical construction.
- Proven experience leading small teams in construction environments.

1. Installing, testing, and commissioning high-voltage electrical equipment.
2. Administering complex construction or supply & install contracts, including RFP development and claims mitigation.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSH Standards, WorkSafe Regulations).
- Advanced written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong skills in construction methodologies, estimating, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
