Canadian Lynden Transport is looking for Mechanic who ensures that the fleet of equipment is well maintained for secure use while following all regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:(Other duties may be assigned)Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this positionPreform services and repairs on highway trucks, local trucks, trailers, yard equipment and shop equipmentRebuild or replace defective partsWork with air brake systems (drum and disc brake) on trucks and trailersTroubleshoot and repair electrical and air systemsWork on a variety of different trailers: vans, flat decks, step decks, double drops, curtains, jeeps and boostersSets up and operates drill press, mag drill, plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch, miter saw, grinders and other toolsReads job order and determines work proceduresPerforms basic computer functions by completing job work orders using Transman Fleet Equipment Maintenance System, recording materials used, type of work accomplished, and maintenance system codesComplies with all company safety policies, including use of protective equipment and Fit for WorkQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
