About the Company:
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing company in Alberta, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving mechanical problems, and being part of a supportive team environment.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, mechanical systems, conveyors, and motors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings,
and manuals.
- Perform equipment installations and modifications as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance work follows health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- Certified Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) – Red Seal preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance or repair within a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to work versatile shifts if required (day/afternoon/evening).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Assets:
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems.
- Experience in food, packaging, or light manufacturing environments.
