Design integrated circuits for next-generation 5G-and-beyond wireless communications, taking mmWave and analog core blocks from circuit architecture and simulation through layout, tape-out and laboratory characterization.
What you’ll do
- Perform IC simulations and optimizations within the Cadence, ADS and HFSS design environments
- Drive design schematic, simulation and mmWave/analog layout methodologies
- Apply advanced circuit architectures to core blocks — LNAs, mixers, phase shifters, power amplifiers, drivers and VGAs
- Engage in hands-on IC laboratory testing and characterization
- Work with cross-functional teams and interface directly with customers on performance requirements
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics or a related field (PhD preferred); 3–5 years of industrial RFIC/mmWave design experience preferred
- Proven history of successful tape-outs or exceptional mmWave performance
- Recent RFIC design experience in RFSOI/CMOS technologies, covering RF switches, PAs, LNAs, attenuators, phase shifters and power combining
- Knowledge of phased-array transceiver architectures and beamforming techniques
- Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, ADS, H-SPICE, Laker ADP and Verilog/Verilog HDL, plus EM simulation in HFSS, Sonnet, CST or WIPL-D
- Hands-on RF/mmWave IC laboratory test equipment experience, and fluent written and verbal English
