Ce poste est au sein de la division Vision Industrielle (IMV), située à Montréal, QC, sous l'unité d’affaires Solutions de Capture de Données (DCS), un leader mondial dans les solutions innovantes de capture de données, d'intelligence des actifs et d'automatisation. Le/la candidat(e) débutera en tant que membre de l'équipe de développement matériel et travaillera sur le développement de nouveaux produits dans les domaines des caméras intelligentes 2D, des capteurs 3D et de l'éclairage DEL.
We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Optical Engineer with robust interpersonal skills and leadership potential who will thrive in a dynamic team environment. This position is in the Industrial Machine Vision (IMV) division, located in, Montreal, QC, under Data Capture Solutions (DCS) business unit, a world class leader in innovative data capture, asset intelligence and automation solutions. The candidate will start as a member of the Hardware Development Team and work on new product developments in the areas of 2D smart cameras, 3D sensors, and LED illumination.

Créer la documentation d'ingénierie pour la conception d'instruments optiques. Assurer le leadership dans la planification et la gestion technique des programmes liés à l'optique. Faire preuve de jugement dans le choix des méthodes et des techniques pour obtenir des solutions.
Contributes during all phases of product development including concept generation, design, testing, and implementation. Provides multi-disciplinary support to production by resolving technical issues associated with components, parts, products or systems; testing of new and existing designs and documentation. Performs system analysis and related analytical modeling on current and prototype designs.
May apply quantitative analysis in determining root cause of highly technical problems and propose, develop and implement solutions for corrective action. Creates engineering documentation for design of optical instruments. Provides leadership on optical related planning and technical program management.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Un baccalauréat de 4 ans en sciences et ingénierie optiques, en génie physique ou en physique d'un établissement accrédité au Canada, ou d'une université étrangère comparable. ~ Plus de 6 ans d'expérience en conception et en test optique. ~ Bonnes compétences en programmation en C, Python, environnement Linux, et avec les simulateurs MATLAB et Zemax. ~ Connaissance pratique de la conception de caméras et de l'utilisation de logiciels de CAO 3D. ~ La maîtrise du français est un atout. ~ A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Optical Science and Engineering, Physics Engineering or Physics from an accredited institution in Canada, or a comparable foreign university.
~6 + years of experience in optical design and testing. ~ Experience in COS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) and CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) Image sensor operations is highly preferred. ~ Good programming skills in C, Python, Linux environment, MATLAB and Zemax simulators. ~ Practical knowledge in the design of cameras and use of 3D CAD software. ~ Fluency in French is preferred. ~ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability and protected veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
