The Opportunity

What You’ll Do
Every role at the DI makes a difference. In this position, you will: Support the planning, coordination, communication, and administration of annual People &
- Culture programs and cycles, including performance reviews, talent and succession planning, employee engagement initiatives, and other people programs.
Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, workplace policies, employment legislation, and organizational practices, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
Build positive working relationships with people leaders by providing timely P &
- C support, sharing resources, and reinforcing effective people management practices.
Participate in workplace investigations by assisting with information gathering, interview scheduling, documentation, note-taking, and preparing investigation materials and summaries.
Support all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, employee movement, and offboarding, while ensuring accurate documentation and a positive employee experience.
Coordinate and maintain employee records,
HR documentation, and people-related systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies.
Assist with the development and delivery of P &
- C communications, resources, and training materials to support leaders and employees.
Respond to routine P &
- C inquiries and provide timely, customer-focused support, referring more complex matters to senior members of the People &
- Culture team.
Contribute to P &
- C projects and continuous improvement initiatives by coordinating activities, gathering information, and supporting implementation.

- Culture professional with a strong generalist foundation and a passion for supporting both employees and leaders. - Culture service and support.

Must-Have’s A diploma or degree in human resources, psychology or related field is required; a combination of education and/or work experience will be considered.
CPHR candidate, designation or relevant designation is required.
3 - 5 years of experience in People &
- Culture/Human Resources.
Strong knowledge of relevant employment legislation, human rights requirement, and HR best practices.
Excellent communicator and relationship-builder who understands that service excellence is delivered by employees who are both engaged and empowered.
A demonstrated desire for continuous development and a growth mindset.
Ability to be adaptable, take initiative, exercise good judgement and apply discretion while demonstrating a high level of confidentiality in all matters.
Able to use critical thinking to interpret situations and make recommendations based on sound knowledge to produce effective results.
Well-developed interpersonal, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team-oriented team setting.

Ability to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector clearance check. Nice to Have’s Experience with HRIS systems.
Experience working in a 24/7 operation would be an asset.
