Location: Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre

Start Date: New School Year 2026-2027

Constance Lake Education Authority is seeking an Elementary Physical Education Teacher at the Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre, a facility providing community-based education from Early Childhood to Grade 12 learners as well as an alternative education program for adults.

Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- Bachelor of Arts and Science and/or Bachelor of Education
- Qualifications for Primary/Junior/Intermediate Levels
- Qualifications in Physical Education
- A major or minor in physical education at the undergraduate level
- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program.
- Criminal Records Check as per CLEA Policy
- Ability to speak Cree-Ojibway or Oji-Cree is an asset
- Must go through a pre-employment screening by agreeing to complete a drug and alcohol test as per CLEA Policy.

Student success is at the forefront with many supports in place for student achievement such as teacher assistants, tutor escorts, literacy resource teacher, numeracy teacher, special education resource teachers, child and youth worker, social workers, cultural coordinator, and other support services. Classroom resources such as Ipads, Smartboards, Chrome books and laptops make learning engaging and allow teachers to provide a new and interactive approach to learning.
