Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5

: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset

Education

- Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC

Licenses

- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or




- Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
- (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)

- Standby may be required.
- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
- La Ronge is located approximately 241 km north of Prince Albert
- Travel within Saskatchewan
- May provide services to acute and long term care sites as required
- Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
