JOB TITLE: Production Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and direct all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer

•Responsible for performance indicators, and corrective actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met

•Responsible for ensuring that documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements

•Assure policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent

•Responsible for the introduction, development and continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes and product structures across the site

- Support product design organization through current product introduction phase to ensure

•Responsible for assuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, company policy, and good corporate citizenship

- Evaluate and develop talent through coaching, delegation and empowerment

Qualifications

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related is required; MBA is preferred.




- Minimum 5 years of Supervisory or Managerial experience in a high mix/ low volume

•MUST be a results oriented with a bias for action. Must be able to establish accountability continual improvement of key metrics

•Good understanding of problem solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) – i.e. thought maps, root cause analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.

- Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams (knowledge of Kaizen events)

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Typical operations and manufacturing environments as well as a warehouse distribution operation. May experience periods of heat or cold due to seasonal temperature differences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to occasionally work at night. Must have ability to use hands and fingers to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. In addition, must have the ability to move freely throughout the facility without physical limitation, and capacity to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and have the ability to bend, stoop and reach.
