On behalf of our clients, Synergy HR is seeking experienced, business minded solution drivers with proven project management experience to fill the role of Project Manager located in various locations in BC.

In the position of Project Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the management, scheduling and costing of key projects and turnarounds.

You will be accountable for:

- Overseeing and directing all day to day project initiatives
- Managing project teams and performance in safety, quality and cost efficiency
- Working closely with client project groups to execute contract requirements
- Leading and promoting a work setting where the safety and health of all employees, subcontractors, and individuals on all sites is paramount.
- Ensuring project controls processes including change management are followed
- Monitoring on a weekly basis the status of all contracts/ projects involved in and providing early and effective updates on any concerns or variables that may fall outside the established objectives.




- Acting on those concerns and variables with project teams
- Keeping projects within budgets and reporting/forecasting budget changes
- Mentoring key talent, and building a leadership pipeline that extends the values and brand of CIMS.

To be successful in this role you must have:

- Undergraduate degree or Technical School certification in appropriate discipline or equivalent 10+ years’ progressive experience in Heavy Industry – Turnaround Maintenance, Daily PM Maintenance and Project Management.
- Project Management Certificate would be an asset
- 5+ years’ Experience in Project Management, Project controls, Budgeting/Financing, Critical path thinking, risk management & assessment, negotiating, planning, cost estimating, cost/benefit analysis, scheduling and planning
- Strong leadership and team building capabilities and the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization
- Ability to identify opportunities and act upon them to support the strategic goals of the company
- Exceptional interpersonal skills reflecting the ability to inspire teamwork, confidence and cooperation amongst all stakeholders and partners coupled with collaborative consensus-building competencies
- Influencing and negotiating skills to reach agreements and build consensus among parties
- An excellent, open communication style to carry out ongoing dialogues, share important information, and listen to others in ways that create trust and confidence, yet still able to make difficult executive decisions in a clear manner
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
