You'll provide legal advice, support senior counsel, and engage in training for claims personnel. Your innovative mindset and critical thinking will help enhance operational efficiencies and effectively address client needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of claims litigation from referral to resolution
- Collaborate with Claims team on legal assessments and opinions
- Attend mediations, trials,
and other necessary legal proceedings
- Provide general legal advice on varied business facets
- Recommend process improvements to mitigate legal exposure
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years in insurance defense or personal injury
- Law Degree (LLB, JD) and Ontario lawyer qualification
- Solid critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with trial or arbitration is a plus
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle required
