Job Summary
The Purchasing Clerk provides administrative support to the Supply Chain Department by maintaining purchasing records, updating Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) information, processing documentation, and assisting with order tracking and receiving activities. The role supports efficient purchasing operations and timely material flow to meet manufacturing requirements.
Job Duties &
Responsibilities Upon receipt of quotations: review purchase orders for accuracy update costing and delivery promise dates update the information in the Genius ERP purchasing module and Solidworks Manage Processes. Review purchase orders for administrative accuracy. Update costing and delivery dates in Genius ERP.
Create open purchase order reports. Track vendors promise dates versus actual delivery dates. Assist in preparing vendor performance reports and graphs for review by the Purchaser or Senior Supply Chain Assistant.
Issue approved subcontractor/service purchase orders. Assist with entering details, into Genius ERP, when requested. Maintain purchasing files and records. Match purchase orders, packing slip, and invoice documentation. Other related duties, as assigned Job Qualifications (Minimum): High School Diploma Attention to detail
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook,
Teams and able to learn additional software quickly
Initiative and able to work independently Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills
Able to take direction and communicate well with others Able to attend work on a regular basis.
Able to meet the physical and sensory demands of the position.
Experience in a manufacturing workplace is an asset.
Experience using ERP systems is an asset (Genius ERP experience considered an asset).
One year of clerical, administrative, inventory, purchasing support, or supply chain experience is an asset.
