Our client is a well respected GC with 25 years experience delivering high quality general contracting services in Ontario for ICI and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the management team, the Quality Manager will:
About the Role
· Work closely with the General Site Superintendent, Site Superintendent and Project Manager to implement and maintain company’s QMS on all job sites.
· Prepare quality audit plans and schedules.
· Coordinate internal quality audits and external quality audits of key processes with relevant subcontractors.
· Coordinates management review of company’s QMS to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the QMS.
· Maintain relevant quality records in accordance with individual project requirements.
· Implementation of Maystar’s process for control of nonconformity and corrective action related to the QMS.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
· Minimum University or Community College graduate in a relevant Engineering or Architectural technology discipline.
· Successfully completed an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course.
· Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Quality Manager obtained on complex projects with a Contract value above $40 million.
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in ICI construction on complex projects with a Contract value above $40 million.
· TTC experience an asset.
· Experience with the IHSA COR certification program.
· Professional attitude.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Solid computer skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
