POSTION SUMMARYReporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Technician assists in the work assigned to the sanitation department, oversees, ensures readiness of sanitation equipment and material, and validates sanitation work. The team member demonstrates secure work practices and correct operation and use of equipment and sanitation chemicals. Performs general sanitation duties along with other sanitation technicians.

General sanitation duties include execution of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitation inside the core including reprocessing of equipment’s. Overseeing and managing room turn over, cleaning and sanitation. Gathering and disposing of all trash and waste to the waste room and general tidiness of the core of the facility.

CORE JOB DUTIES- Cleaning equipment and components in support of production operations - Work closely with quality assurance team to ensure Health Canada cleaning and sanitation standards are achieved.

- Clean and organize production areas using appropriate cleaning methods, SOPs, materials, solvents and equipment.
- Adhere to Health Canada and WHIMS safety regulations.




- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to keep the facility, fixtures and equipment clean.
- Gather and empty production area waste.
- Replenish and inventory PPE and cleaning materials and supplies.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular cleaning and sanitation within core including floors, walls, door handles etc.
- Operation of industrial cleaning equipment, pressure washers, fogging machines, steam cleaners, etc.
- Cleaning of grow rooms before, during and after production JOB SKILLS- High school diploma required - Ability to stand and be mobile for long periods of time- Ability to work in a team environment and show up with a positive attitude- Able to life upwards of 50lbs - Ability to preform repetitive tasks- Valid WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire - Willingness to wear and adhere to PPE guidelines - Professional attitude and appearance - Familiarity with industrial cleaners an asset
