Senior Consultant, Marketing Technology

We are a GTM consulting firm delivering scalable, high-impact solutions for growth-stage and enterprise organizations. As part of our continued expansion, we are launching a Marketing Technology practice to better support clients across demand generation, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with extensive experience in Marketing Technology to help establish and grow this new practice. This role is ideal for a consultant who can lead end-to-end delivery today while helping shape the foundation for a future team and service offering. You’ll balance hands-on execution with delegation, guide multi-contributor initiatives, and ensure delivery outcomes are tightly aligned to client strategy.

High performers in this role will have a clear path to expanded delivery and people leadership as the practice scales.

Core Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Solution Leadership

● Lead end-to-end delivery for mid-sized or multi-phased client initiatives involving leading marketing technology platforms

● Own delivery outcomes across scope, timeline, quality, and client satisfaction

● Partner with clients to understand marketing, demand generation, and customer engagement goals, translating business priorities into scalable technical solutions

● Facilitate discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops; document requirements,

user stories, and future-state process designs

● Design, configure, and optimize marketing automation platforms and supporting tools

(e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar)

● Ensure thoughtful integration between Salesforce and third-party marketing tools,

accounting for data dependencies and long-term scalability

● Reinforce delivery excellence through testing, validation, documentation, and enablement

Project & Stakeholder Management

● Manage delivery across multiple contributors, delegating effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes





● Create and maintain delivery plans, forecasts, and milestones; adapt plans as client needs or priorities evolve

● Accurately estimate effort and forecast capacity on a week-by-week basis

Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, addressing risks and dependencies before they escalate

● Lead regular client check-ins and executive-level discussions to ensure alignment with strategic goals

Practice & Team Development

● Contribute to defining scalable delivery methodologies, best practices, and quality standards for VTG’s Marketing Technology practice

● Support hiring, onboarding, and development of future marketing technology team members

● Provide thought leadership on marketing automation strategy, data architecture,

analytics, and performance measurement

● Partner with our leadership on solution design, scoping, and pre-sales activities as needed

Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience at a SaaS company or as a consultant or solution lead within

Salesforce and/or marketing technology ecosystems

● Hands-on experience with Hubspot and similar marketing automation or customer engagement platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or similar)

● Strong understanding of leading best practice architecture, data models, and best practices

● Proven experience leading complex client initiatives with multiple contributors and stakeholders

● Experience balancing hands-on delivery with delegation and team oversight

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skilled experience

Preferred Experience

● Experience helping launch or scale a new consulting practice, service offering, or internal capability

● Up to date expertise across Hubspot Hubs, including core revenue Hubs, Data Hub,

and AI agents

● Experience with integrations, data migrations, analytics, and reporting

● Familiarity with enterprise integration tools or HubSpot app marketplace applications

● Prior experience in a team lead, delivery lead, or people management role
