We’re looking for a driven Mechanical Design Project Manager to lead a high-performing team on HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design projects. This role bridges technical design and team leadership, with a direct impact on client outcomes and project profitability.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage all aspects of small to mid-sized mechanical design projects
- Oversee team workflows, task assignments, and deliverables
- Act as primary liaison with clients and stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Coordinate with construction teams on design-build initiatives
Must-Have Experience:
- 5+ years in mechanical design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
- 2+ years in a project management role within consulting engineering
- P.Eng. designation (or eligible)
- Strong AutoCAD,
MS Office, and project scheduling skills
- Proven track record managing internal teams and external relationships
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with local building codes and quality assurance practices
- Experience preparing schematic and design development reports
- Involvement in professional associations or industry events
- Prior collaboration with construction teams on integrated projects
