Senior Field/Environmental Engineer Indian Health Service - Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction Announcing the senior environmental engineer position with the Indian Health Service! Are you an early career engineer interested in serving tribal nations with safe drinking water and wastewater facilities? Our engineers in the Indian Health Service Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction work on water, wastewater and solid waste engineering projects for tribes across the US.
Duties
Performing planning, design, and construction oversight activities for community and individual water supply, wastewater and solid waste facilities. Visiting tribal communities where projects are being planned and constructed. Reviewing work prepared by technical staff.
Estimating costs and materials necessary to construct sanitation facilities.
Preparing engineering technical reports and cost estimates Collaborating with tribal government and communities Conducting field work on tribal lands, including surveying, investigating malfunctioning water and sewer systems, and system testing Inspecting construction of water and wastewater facilities Eligibility US Citizenship is absolutely required by law. Qualifying applicants must also hold a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
Must have a valid State driver's license. Must be able to pass security clearance.
