Senior Piping / Layout Designer

Description:

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Piping / Layout Designer is an integral part of the drafting and design team.

Responsibilities:

- Check and update P&IDs.;

- Create accurate 3D layout and piping models.

- Take the lead in 3D model reviews.

- Check and approve vendor-supplied drawings.

- Produce fabrication isometric drawings.

- Create and detail general arrangement drawings.

- Create pressure vessel models and fabrication details.

- Assist piping checker as needed.

- Mentor junior and intermediate designers.

- Create and maintain drawing standards.

- Make recommendations for process and efficiency improvements.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience in piping and layout design.

- Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).





- Robust knowledge of Isogen for spool generation.

- Strong understanding of plant processes and layout principles.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
