Join a cutting-edge Hardware R&D; Team as a Senior Quantum Optics Engineer, specializing in nonlinear optical devices and quantum light sources. Collaborate to design and operate advanced optical experiments in quantum computing. This pivotal senior position requires a PhD in Quantum Optics, Photonics, or a related field.
You will develop creative nonlinear photonic devices and characterize photonic integrated circuits with thermal and electro-optic components. Your analytical skills will drive data comparison against simulations, while you'll also design automated measurement workflows and documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and operate complex optical experiments using squeezed light
- Develop and benchmark next-generation nonlinear photonic technologies
- Characterize photonic integrated circuits with thermal components
- Analyze experimental data alongside theoretical models
- Create test procedures and technical documentation for automation
Requirements:
- PhD in Quantum Optics or related engineering fields
- Proficient in squeezed light and single-photon detection
- Experience with homodyne/heterodyne detection methods
- Familiar with laser locking techniques, including Pound-Drever-Hall
- Strong Python skills for data analysis and automation
