Position: Server and storage coordinator

Responsibilities and skills

Candidate will be responsible for procuring and deploying server and storage hardware in the datacenter. Need to be able to coordinate between different business units for network requirement and data center space allocation. Skills need to include basic knowledge of Unix commands, good understanding of how ip/network and san/nas works, need to have valuable skills using Microsoft excel and Google Docs. Excellent communication skill is a must. Knowledge on servicenow ticketing system is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Discuss with internal clients about server and storage requirements and help assist with solutions
- Procure hardware from vendor
- Follow up with vendors for the hardware arrival ETA
- Work with the datacenter team for space and power reservation prior to the hardware arrival
- Work with the network team for the connectivity.
- Create cutsheet for server connections.
- Work with the DC team for the installation of the kit
- Coordinate with L2 and L3 Unix and Windows team to complete the OS build of the servers.
- Once the build is completed, deliver to the client.
