POSITION DUTIES: Gfycat Inc has an opening for a Software Engineer. The position will be for front-end engineering and will be responsible for creating high quality web code to improve our website on both desktop and mobile. The components should be modular, reusable and well documented with a focus on compatibility, accessibility and internationalization.

The Software

Engineer role with Gfycat will architect, design develop and maintain an cutting-edge, engaging and informative website for a worldwide audience.

Experience must include

- Object Oriented Programming
- Production experience utilizing React, Redux, Node.js + Express, Webpack, CSS/SCSS
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, performance optimization for media elements (video, img) in particular
- Production experience, up-to-date, working knowledge and deep understanding of SEO principles
- Writing unit tests and testable code
- Production experience with writing responsive web pages for desktop and mobile
- Git
- Algorithms and data structures
- 2 years experience
