Robots & Pencils is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer for a four-month contract, with potential for extension.
This position demands ownership of infrastructure architecture and robust skills in cloud systems, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps. Candidates will guide and fortify platform reliability while mentoring junior engineers across engagements. Key Responsibilities:
- Define DevOps strategies for multi-region cloud environments
- Architect scalable Kubernetes platforms and container infrastructures
- Oversee infrastructure as code standards and strategy
- Lead DevSecOps practices including compliance and security
- Drive cloud migrations and platform modernization initiatives Requirements:
- 7+ years in DevOps or platform engineering
- Expertise in Kubernetes and IaC tools
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar
