About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, respected professional accounting firm based in Charlottetown, PE, serving clients across Prince Edward Island and Atlantic Canada. This firm is part of a strong regional alliance of independent CPA firms, offering enhanced collaboration, resources, and professional support.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their high-performing team. This role works closely with senior leadership and plays a critical role in delivering tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and prepare corporate reorganizations and advanced tax planning
- Support succession and estate planning initiatives
- Assist with tax audits, reviews, assessments, voluntary disclosures, and notices of objection
- Conduct tax research and respond to complex tax inquiries
- Manage a variety of complex tax engagements, including:
- Corporate tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Trust returns
- Provide ongoing technical tax guidance and support to internal team members
- Work closely with senior partners on strategic tax matters

Qualifications & Experience





- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting designation
- Completion of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course
- 3–5+ years of full-time, progressive tax experience
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Advanced computer proficiency, including:
- CaseWare
- TaxPrep
- Sage
- QuickBooks
- Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax periods
- Local travel as required to meet client needs
