CHOOSE POSSIBLE The Village of Andrew is located at the apex between Alberta’s Heartland and Lakeland economic zones approximately one hour east and north of Edmonton. Our community has launched a public charter school for the inaugural 2025/26 school year. We are seeking initial expressions of interest for an experienced professional educator with an immediate start date.
The Opportunity
Andrew Rural Academy is a first of its kind in Canada public charter school offering a rural focused Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) based curriculum to a K-12 student population.
We are currently seeking passionate and innovative educators to join our team. This position will offer a professional educator the opportunity to create a different kind of student experience.

Recommended Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with Early Childhood Development and supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with the realities and rhythms of rural life in Alberta
- Comfort with experiential learning methodologies
- Strong team culture and collaborative leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder
- Bachelor’s degree in education (or applicable equivalent)
- Eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
