About the Role
As the Manager of Web & Mobile Development, you'll be at the forefront of creating and enhancing the next generation of video streaming applications. This is an opportunity to lead the development of world-class OTT platforms across mobile, TV, and web. You'll collaborate with a passionate, agile team, pushing the limits of what's possible in video delivery and working with some of the most advanced technologies available today. What You'll Own/Do:
Product & Platform Leadership
- Lead the design and development of cutting-edge OTT app solutions across mobile (Android/iOS), TV (Tizen/WebOS), and web platforms.
- Drive on-time delivery of key milestones through both strategic delegation and hands-on development — rolling up your sleeves to support the team and ensure success.
- Think creatively and bring bold ideas to life — your contributions will directly influence the product's evolution.
- Stay ahead of the curve by incorporating emerging technologies to continuously enhance app quality and performance.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend teams to create seamless, user-friendly experiences.
- Harness the power of AI programming to optimize development workflows and accelerate feature delivery, from automation to prototyping.
What We Require for this Role:
Experience & Leadership
- 8+ years of experience in front-end development, building innovative UI solutions for diverse platforms.
- Demonstrated success leading the end-to-end development of high-performance apps across Android, iOS, TV, and Web - combining hands-on coding expertise with strategic team leadership to deliver scalable,
top-tier streaming experiences.
- Track record of leading small, agile teams in a startup-like environment, breaking barriers and driving results.
- A passion for pushing the envelope on app quality, scalability, and performance.
- Experience with AI-powered programming tools to streamline and enhance development processes.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend-backend integration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile development practices.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach.
Bonus Points for Candidates Who Have:
- SaaS Platforms: Previous experience with SaaS platforms or live/VOD video streaming products.
- Cross-Platform: Experience with smart TV platforms (TizenOS, WebOS, Roku OS) and mobile browsers.
- Multimedia Protocols: Understanding of multimedia transport protocols (e.g., RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, HLS/DASH).
- Top-Tier Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a 4-yr accredited institution globally ranked in the top 500 universities.

The pay range for this role is:
140,000 - 150,000 CAD per year (Vancouver)
