A term adjunct position is open at the Smith School of Business for an instructor to teach two (2) sections of a graduate course in the Executive MBA Americas Program, MBQC 882, Applied Microeconomics. MBQC 882 is a core course in the EMBAA curriculum and designed to enhance management decision making through the application of economic theory. This course has a weight of 0.65.
The course is described as follows:
This is a 4-session course delivered virtually – normally from the video conference studio in Kingston – on alternate class weekends, according to the EMBA America program schedule. Topics covered include supply, demand, market structure, market prices, production and cost functions, market failure, externalities, and competitive market equilibrium.
Course Delivery Dates and Times*:
The candidate is expected to teach 100% of two sections of MBQC 882 with an anticipated total enrollment of approximately 120 students.
Winter term and dates will be determined between program team and instructor.
Compensation The salary for a term adjunct teaching two sections of this course (with a course weight of .65) is $18,012.80 (excluding vacation pay). This salary is pro-rated based on course credit.
Qualifications include: a Master’s degree or Ph.D., several years of expertise and skilled experience in economics or a related field, and experience teaching university courses.
