MDT Manufacturing-Radical Plant is a leading manufacturer known for its expertise in designing and producing high-quality injection molded components. We prioritize precision and excellence in our products and are currently looking to add a skilled Tool & Die maker to our Tool Room team.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities for this position include the repair and maintenance of the injection molds following the maintenance schedule. The Tool & Die maker must be proficient in using manual & CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as basic hand tools. The candidate should possess precision skills, attention to detail, and experience in mold making.

Responsibilities

● Keep injection molds in excellent condition by scheduling preventive maintenance to improve their durability and efficiency.

● Troubleshoot and diagnose mold issues to determine the root cause of problems and implement necessary repairs.

● Maintain and repair molds in accordance with established repair procedures,

Drawings & models.

● Perform measurements and inspection of mold components using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and optical comparators.

● Collaborate with other departments,



such as engineering and production, to ensure molds meet quality standards and production schedules.

● Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure secure and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Completion of a Tool and Die Maker Apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.

- Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in precision mold making and repair.

- Expertise in the use of manual and CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and EDM Sinker/Wire cut machines.

- Strong understanding of metallurgy, tool steels, and heat treatment processes.

- Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
