a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario, offers custom design and truck-body manufacturing and upfitting of utility, service, construction, railway and other custom truck bodies. Our environmentally-friendly truck bodies are researched, designed and customized to our customers’ satisfaction. You will be working closely with the dedicated sourcing and inventory team to meet the sometimes challenging and pressing needs of the production department.

You will report to the Sourcing and Inventory Manager. You will be a key team member responsible for picking, packing and shipping customer orders as well as counting, verifying, receiving and putting away incoming vendor material and in-house manufactured components. You will also be responsible for picking and staging all parts to meet the production schedule.

Driving and shuttling of trucks may also be required. Able to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced automotive environment. Minimum of two years’ experience in Shipping and Receiving using an ERP system (Global Shop Solutions experience an asset).

Minimum of two years’ experience in inventory control, including cycle counting. Must be willing to be trained/certified to operate a forklift. Must show proof of clean driver’s abstract (D licence an asset).

Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel. ship returns and outgoing materials as needed. Inventory control including cycle counts and submitting replenishment orders to Sourcing. Pick and stage parts for production requirements.

Performing daily inspections, i.e. forklift, yard.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, climb ladders, wear PPE, talk, hear, observe small writing and labels, lift up to 50 lbs.
