Become a vital part of BCIT's School of Construction and the Environment as a full-time Faculty in Piping. This position values innovation, teamwork, and expertise in the plumbing trade.
This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a passion for teaching. The Faculty will engage with apprentice and industry service students while overseeing classroom and laboratory instruction. In addition to teaching, you will be responsible for curriculum maintenance and program enhancement, contributing directly to improved trades education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom instruction for various student levels
- Supervise shop and laboratory activities
- Assess assignments and examinations for students
- Update curriculum and enhance program offerings
- Ensure necessary resources for training delivery
Requirements:
- BC Trades Certificate in Plumber or Gasfitter “Class B”
- Five years of experience as a journeyperson plumber
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
- English proficiency, both written and oral
- Ability to foster a collegial and team-oriented environment
This role requires your technical expertise and teaching desire to shape future plumbing professionals at BCIT.
