We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join the dedicated, forward-thinking team in the downtown Toronto office. UNDERWRITER, WARRANTY TORONTO Reporting directly to the Vice President, Warranty, the successful applicant will be responsible for assessing the performance, structure, and reserve adequacy of warranty programs, and the credit worthiness of the program administrators. The successful applicant will be passionate, and results oriented with the ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to adapt to and learn new software

Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs

entrepreneurial setting while maintaining underwriting discipline and service excellence Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures Responsibilities Support the team with underwriting new business applications for Warranty programs in accordance with Trisura’s underwriting guidelines and risk appetite

Review and negotiate specific terms and conditions in warranties, insurance policies, and indemnity documents Evaluate exposures and determine the appropriate structure, terms, and pricing

Analyze and monitor the financial strength, operational capabilities, and performance of program administrators

Participate in team strategy and product development Ensure all underwriting activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards Actively support marketing efforts, including broker outreach, pipeline development, and sourcing of new business opportunities Represent Trisura at industry events, broker meetings, and association functions to strengthen market presence and relationships Maintain an understanding of relevant industry trends and competitor offerings and their impact on underwriting strategy Qualifications Successful completion of a University degree 3+ years of experience in the insurance or automotive industry; exposure to automotive warranty products is considered a definite asset

Proficiency with MS office suite Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations

Experience working in a client facing environment Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid Salary: The expected salary in this position is within the range of $70,000 - $90,000 This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
