1. L1 and L2 support of Web applications
- L3 administration of Websphere application servers on Websphere 6.x/7.x
- Do application code builds
- Do scripting to automate the build process
- Performance tuning and administration of Websphere server
- Clustering or creating new servers and environment for each release
- Test environment configuration - like for an application other than code build, doing configuration settings, database configuration
- automation. Need to do R&D; to understand the existing environment and come up with possible improvements.
- Configuring the special registers on ISM console based an application needs
- Server Administration including stopping and starting Servers as required
- Managing iWay environment o application code file systems , instance file system, logs file system etc o iWay instances Management , port allocations
- Firewall port requests management
- Deploying the iWay application code
- Communication configurations like sftp, Connect direct
- Current application data adapter configurations say, db2 adapter for an app connecting to DB2 , Host flat file configuration for an app connecting to Host etc
- coordinating with USES for file system allocations /creations etc, Managing various environments by updating all the environments with the latest version of the code base running in production
