Department: Aquatics Availability: Monday to Sunday, various operational hours and holidays Position Type: Seasonal Reports To: Aquatic Supervisor Purpose Water Safety Guards support safe, efficient operations across all aquatic attractions, including slides, shallow‑water pools, and other waterpark features. This role focuses on guest interaction, operational safety, and smooth ride throughput. Wet’n’Wild Toronto provides the Water Safety Guard Certification free of charge for candidates seeking additional responsibility within the Aquatics Department.

Key Responsibilities Provide vigilant supervision of pools, slides, and aquatic areas in accordance with all safety standards and operating procedures.

Model professional conduct, guest service, scanning standards, and operational readiness.

Safely load and unload guests from slides and aquatic attractions.

Enforce facility rules, rider requirements, and safety policies.

Activate and follow standardized response procedures for emergency situations. Provide exceptional guest service and clear communication at all attractions.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Attend all scheduled in service trainings and maintain required skills.

Report equipment or facility concerns to the appropriate leadership members.

Support a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and mission.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support park operations.

Physical Requirements Swim 25 metres continuously. Perform a 10 metre underwater swim to retrieve a 10lb object, surface,



and return the object to the start point.

Employment is conditional on candidates meeting these physical requirements.

Competencies Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.

Guest service mindset with positive communication skills.

Reliable, motivated, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Ability to remain calm, confident, and decisive during emergencies Required Certifications First Aid & AED certification (or ability to obtain before May 1, 2026).

Internal training successfully completed prior to start of season.

Minimum 15 years of age.

Certifications in AED, supplemental oxygen, or airway management are considered assets.

All other duties that are assigned or necessary in order to support the Operations Department and the park as a whole. Work Setting While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odours, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
