- Create content for Kanguq magazine, social media, the website, newsletters and other communications channels.
- Research information, conduct interviews and write articles, profiles, news releases and feature stories.
- Coordinate with designers, printers and other external partners as required.
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Contribute to content planning and social media strategies.
- Create, publish and monitor content on Facebook, Instagram and other digital platforms.
- Respond to comments and inquiries in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Inuit Culture & Events
- Develop communications highlighting Inuit culture, important dates, community initiatives and cooperative achievements.
- Support the planning and promotion of training activities, special projects and corporate events.
- Represent the organization at events when required.
Requirements
- Postsecondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 1–3 years of experience in communications, content creation or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Inuktitut is a excellent asset. French is an asset.
