- Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment
- Completes daily work orders and provides input pertaining to preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs, inspections, parts, and emergency repairs
- Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed
- Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems
- Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Road work on service trucks as required and some overnight stay as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1st year apprenticeship in the Mechanical and/or Heavy-Duty Equipment trade
- High School Diploma required
- Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset
- Experience with hydraulics, electrical, engines and transmission is an asset
- Welding experience an asset
- Required to provide own tools
- Valid Class 1A or 3A Drivers Licence Drivers abstract will be requested
- Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of off-road and heavy equipment, trucks and trailers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipment
- Excellent communication skills
