About the Role

The Business Development Representative role provides a progressive opportunity to develop a successful career in consultative financial sales at Fidelity Investments.

How You'll Make an Impact

- Participate in three weeks of in‑depth training to learn the fundamentals of our business and round out your investment and product knowledge through industry‑leading training offered by subject matter experts.
- Interact directly with our clients, learning about their business and providing an exceptional customer service experience.
- Address questions from investment professionals, support teams, and investors, putting your learning into practice.
- Work directly with advisors and investors to support their short‑term and long‑term investment strategies.
- Develop yourself through sales mentorship programs, peer‑to‑peer learning, and ongoing coaching within the team.

What It Leads To

- Collaborating with a District Vice President (external wholesaler) and Business Development Manager (inside wholesaler) to increase market share in a geographic territory.
- Participating and hosting client events.
- Participation in Fidelity’s Sales Development Program, which includes training on communication, presentation skills,



sales prospecting, objection handling, and business etiquette.

What We Are Looking For

- Completion of a university degree (upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Eagerness to learn about the investment industry and financial markets.
- A desire to develop strong consultative selling skills and understand unique client investment needs.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑discipline and the ability to stay focused.
- Fluency in French is required for those interested in working in the Montreal office.
- Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

- Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $54,000 to $66,000, based on experience and qualifications.
- RRSP Contribution: After six months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
