Extendicare is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in residents' apartments and common areas. This full-time role focuses on making living environments comfortable and safe.
This position entails cleaning assigned areas according to established schedules, using safe and effective cleaning methods. You will operate various cleaning machines and adhere to all safety policies. Respect for resident rights and active participation in team meetings will also be critical to your success as a Housekeeping Aide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute cleaning tasks in apartments and common spaces
• Operate and maintain cleaning machinery effectively
• Strip, scrub, and buff floors as needed
• Dispose of garbage in designated areas
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement efforts
Requirements:
• Positive English communication skills
• Familiarity with institutional cleaning standards
• Previous experience in residential or healthcare cleaning
• Ability to work independently and meet physical job demands
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
