Sheet Metal Worker

One position, Category A salary.

Requirements

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Basic welding skills – CWB certification
- Experience and/or training in the field is an asset
- Must be detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship
- Ability to read technical production drawings
- Ability to use a computer to perform required tasks
- Physical ability to carry and handle materials manually
- Ability to use a measuring tape
- Ability to read
- Positive manual dexterity
- Ability to learn and work effectively in a team environment

Main Responsibilities

- Successfully pass the CWB welding test (flat horizontal fillet weld) for aluminum
- Understand basic welding symbols
- Understand and apply practical welding methods
- Inspect, clean,



and prepare parts and equipment for welding
- Work accurately to assemble metal parts using appropriate equipment and/or tools
- Set up and operate machines to cut sheet metal or aluminum
- Shape metal/aluminum according to dimensions specified in technical drawings
- Inspect completed work and verify compliance with required specifications
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
