Overview
We are currently seeking an Analyst (Co‑op) to join our Valuation & Litigation Support team for a four‑month co‑op term from January 2027 to April 2027. This diverse team of professionals works with clients on valuations for a wide range of purposes and applies analytical and technical skills, as well as professional judgement, to measure the value of business operations and intangible assets. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide independent and reliable business valuations that empower clients to make value‑driven decisions with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Participate in business valuations, intellectual property valuations, financial modelling and purchase price allocations to help clients understand the value of their business and its components.
- Conduct industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions.
- Prepare cash flows, valuation models and other technical based analysis, projections and forecasts.
- Support the design and development of high‑quality deliverables including engagement letters, reports, presentations and correspondence related to merger, acquisition and financing transactions.
- Assist with the development of project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders.
- Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop.
- Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
- Work collaboratively with the client engagement team.
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
- Working towards a CBV designation is an asset.
- Professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and modelling, is considered an asset.
- Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements is considered an asset.
Benefits
Annual salary: $50,000–$70,000.
