Job Description

Microsemi Storage Solutions Ltd. requires a Senior Planner to be the primary interface between the Business Unit and the Manufacturing Supply Chain Organization. The Senior Planner will provide full ownership of the supply chain for the Business Unit and will work strategically and tactically to ensure that the production needs of the Data Center Solutions Business Unit are met. The expectation is to work with both the Business Unit and the Contract Manufacturers focusing on Production and Sustaining. Foundational understanding of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), semiconductors, and the overall SMT manufacturing process is indispensable. This is a full‑time, in‑office position.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise activities during the Production to End‑of‑life cycle, collaborating with the new product introduction team, aligning supply chain strategies, market demand and manufacturing requirements.
- Proactively review production schedules based on standard manufacturing lead‑times, driving material planning, and tracking suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Host weekly meetings with Business Operations, Sales and Marketing, addressing changes to order commits, bill of material supply risks (components, finished goods), tracking schedules, supply status and coordinating Operations weekly meetings.
- Supervise team activities related to raw material and finished goods handling to achieve on‑time delivery, including order priority, inventory management and disposition, tracking ordering/receiving schedules and de‑risking supply issues (short order lead time, upsides, quality issues, low yield, factory shutdowns, natural disasters, etc).
- Generate strategic supply plans that align with business objectives, manage inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete stock while successfully supporting short lead‑time upside demand.
- Manage End of Life Planning.
- Manage Last time buy Planning.
- Review and approve Bill‑of‑material engineering change requests in Agile Product Lifecycle Management tool, including passive and active components, mechanicals (heatsink, stiffeners, brackets), printed circuit board, firmware, test program releases as well as temporary deviations.
- Oversee factory activities for special build requirements, product conversions and re‑work, and second source qualifications along with the Current Product Introduction team and Contract Manufacturer to ensure on time delivery.
- Monitor, update and report via Workspace tool on key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, late to original commit date, late to customer request dates, sales orders expedite requests.
- Lead the end‑to‑end order life cycle,



coordinating with cross‑functional teams including Inside Sales, Marketing, Engineering Manufacturing, and Logistics.
- Understand key customers, market indicators, and geopolitical factors affecting the industry.
- Review and rationalize customer forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.
- Generate forecast vs. backlog analysis, booking lead time trends, inventory report with recommendations to align the goals.
- Confirm that the releases within the Enterprise Resource Planning tool are executed in alignment with the approved build plan.
- Review product sales forecasts and monitor bookings and billings.
- Coordinate Global Sales Services with lead time quotes, supply availability to support deal driven engagements.
- Work with Logistics addressing late to original commits and root cause.
- Conduct root cause analysis of supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Proactively take steps to minimize delivery slips to original commit date.
- Manage "Focus" customer list expedites, driving quick resolution.
- Oversee unsupported revenue orders, and manage material pull‑in to meet expectations.
- Manage part setup and maintenance including product build type and lead time settings.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supply planning, inventory levels, booking trends.
- Monitor planning system Smoothie exception reports and take action to ensure on time delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives on reporting, checklists and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for planning and supply chain processes and system updates.
- Support process documentation and training.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Experience And Other Requirements:

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain planning within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience with Sales and Operations Planning process execution.
- Technical proficiency: advanced proficiency of Enterprise Resource Planning and Material Requirements Planning systems, forecasting, and inventory management (BAAN/MYSO, MSFT AX, Smoothie) in the semiconductor Printed Circuit Board Assembly storage industry.
- Product Data Management:



expert knowledge of Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management reviewing and approving Bill‑of‑material engineering and life cycle changes.
- Data Analysis & Tools: high proficiency in data analysis with Tableau visualization tool, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Supply Chain Principles: deep understanding of core supply chain principles, including supervising inventory management, demand forecasting, build planning, production planning, and logistics coordination and tracking.
- Semiconductor Manufacturing and Printed Circuit Board Assembly knowledge: strong foundational understanding of PCBA, semiconductors and the overall Surface‑Mount Technology manufacturing process is essential including components in the Bill of Materials; experience in component, sourcing, bill of materials management, and common manufacturing challenges is essential.
- Project Planning and Scheduling Coordinator: understanding of product life cycle from new product introduction to End of Life, focus on Go‑to‑Market Production to End of Life, creation of Gantt charts in Microsoft Project.
- Risk Management: hands‑on experience identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks and issues that could impact on time delivery and revenue.
- Communication & Collaboration Platforms: high proficiency in using platforms like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Share Drive to streamline team communication and document sharing.
