Play a crucial role in the Surrey Police Service as a Constable within the Crisis Intervention and Prevention Unit. Focus on specialized responses to mental health crises through collaboration and support.
In this role, you will engage with Fraser Health professionals to assess and respond to individuals facing mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include managing files and preparing documentation for these interactions while assisting patrol units. You will also promote community safety by enhancing relationships and inter-agency cooperation, developing strategies that prioritize early intervention and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in crisis assessments and follow-up interventions
• Support patrol officers during mental health responses
• Prepare and manage records and documentation
• Act as a resource in mental health matters for the team
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices
Requirements:
• Over 2 years of police service with relevant training
• Solid communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to assess and manage risks effectively
• Experience with vulnerable individuals is beneficial
• Education in related disciplines is valued
