Supervisions of the log yard employees and effective management of mobile equipment parts are key aspects of this role. Foster an environment prioritizing employee engagement alongside safety regulations from the Ministry of Setting and Worksafe BC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in logyard operations and employee engagement
• Manage log quality assurance and inventory processes
• Supervise scaling and weighing practices effectively
• Ensure adherence to environmental management systems
• Oversee mobile equipment inventory and departmental budgeting
Requirements:
• Supervisory experience in a unionized setting
• Minimum 5 years in the forest industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Knowledge of computer applications is essential
• Mobile equipment expertise preferred
