We are hiring two on-air broadcast professionals for the Rugby Ontario OWL Premiership Cup on August 9, 2025 :
This is a paid, one-day opportunity to be part of a provincial rugby event. The successful candidates will work as an on-air duo, providing live coverage, insight, and energy throughout the event. This broadcast is managed by dnode, on behalf of Rugby Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Deliver real-time play-by-play coverage
- Prepare rosters, match notes, and storylines
- Coordinate with production crew and color commentator
- Provide in-game analysis, strategic context, and storytelling
- Prepare profiles and key talking points in advance
- Complement the play-by-play call with engaging, rugby-informed commentary
Both roles:
- Represent Rugby Ontario’s brand and tone professionally
- Be available and ready on August 9, 2025
- Venue Location : 22 Powerline Rd, Brantford, ON N3R 0B9
Qualifications
- Experience in live sports broadcasting or public speaking
- Rugby background preferred (especially for color commentary)
- Solid on-air presence, articulation, and timing
- Ability to prepare independently and work under pressure
- Must be available for the event day
