Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is looking for a Dietitian for the Community of La Ronge to provide consultations, counselling and education services to the LLRIB membership and communities in order to improve and protect the nutritional health of their members. The Dietitian will also provide assessments and intervention including the development, implementation and evaluation of nutritional care plans. About the position
Complete an assessment to evaluate clients health needs and diet; counsel clients on nutrition and healthy eating habits; develop meal plans; provide ongoing evaluation of the effects of meal plans and make changes as needed; develop and deliver education sessions on topics related to food and nutrition; deliver and facilitate nutrition programs; provide written reports to document client progress; other duties as assigned by the Home Care Manager.
Duties
- Working with the Home Care Manager & Diabetes Nurse Educator to develop and maintain nutrition programs;
- Complete assessments to determine client health needs and diet;
- Counsel clients on nutrition and healthy eating habits;
- Develop meal plans, taking both cost and client preferences into account;
- Promote healthy eating by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and the relationship between valuable eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases;
- Maintain liaison with the community & other related agencies, organizations, teachers, physicians and hospitals;
- Provide written reports to document client progress;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Dietetics
