In this role, you will set up various trade machinery and interpret blueprints to fabricate and assemble structural steel. Adhering to safety protocols, you will work closely with the Lead Hand while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your proficiency with different steels and adherence to tight tolerances will be key in ensuring high-quality builds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate manual and automated cutting tools
• Interpret and execute blueprints for fabrication
• Plan and execute steel cutting efficiently
• Fabricate structural components through various methods
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain work area
Requirements:
• 3-4 years’ experience in steel layout and assembly
• Capable of reading shop instructions effectively
• CWB flat welding ticket is beneficial
• Robust fitting skills on large assemblies
• Solid commitment to safety practices
