Canada Post is hiring a Mail Service Courier in Québec, QC for a part‑time permanent relief position at 24.75 hours per week , covering day, evening, and night replacement shifts. The hourly rate is $23.81 . Only candidates holding a Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with the F endorsement will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property protected and secure
- Collect, sort, and deliver mail
- Operate portable communications devices
- Perform vehicle safety checks
- Complete documentation and maintain records
- Communicate with customers and the public
- Shuttle corporate delivery vehicles between parking locations and loading platforms
Requirements
- Valid Class 3/D driver's licence (or higher) with appropriate provincial air brake endorsements
- Safe driving record for at least 3 years (recent driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days required)
- Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
- Availability to work on short notice
- French language proficiency (French Essential)
Assets
- Experience in customer service
- Experience as a professional driver in commercial delivery
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck or larger
