Under management supervision, the Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of production workers, ensuring that production schedules are met and maintaining the flow of work throughout the entire production floor. Areas of supervision include fabrication, weld to final assembly.
Please note: This position is an on-site opportunity that requires relocation to the Englefeld/Humboldt or nearby area. Relocation allowance will be provided to the selected candidate.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Supervise the production floor and ensure production schedules are met
- Ensure production employees are following all safety policies and procedures
- Monitor and balance production flow
- Delegate and adjust workloads to ensure requirements are met
- Conduct testing and interviews and recommend new hires
- Train new employees in proper safety and work procedures
- Evaluate and complete formal performance appraisals for production employees
- Perform discipline procedures when needed
- Make promotion/demotion/discharge recommendations and decisions
- Facilitate toolbox meetings on a regular basis
- Complete quality inspections on all completed parts and machines
- Assess employee skill levels and adjust workloads to maintain schedule requirements
- Determine staffing levels and manpower requirements to maintain schedule requirements
- Handle employee complaints and act as an advocate to management
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement using lean principles. Promote lean goals and initiatives.

Schulte Industries has a 10-hour/4-day work week and this role will work Monday to Thursday from 5:30 PM to 3:55 AM.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma
Post-secondary Education in Manufacturing or Agricultural and/or Trade Certificate
3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing (metal/machineries) setting
3-5 years of Supervisory experience
2-4 years working experience of welding techniques, and a working knowledge of paint and assembly procedures
