What You’ll Need
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of carpentry experience
- Ability to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials
- Experience building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
- Ability to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Supervisory skills to oversee other workers
- Ability to estimate costs and materials
- Experience maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments
