Job Description

Canada Post is an exciting place to work! As a temporary, on‑call delivery agent (also known as a letter carrier), you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels on time. This role involves preparing deliveries, driving a Canada Post postal vehicle, and delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle throughout your route.

What Will You Do

- Start your day at the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- Spend the majority of your shift outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers on your route.
- Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.

Qualifications





- A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a protected driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required).
- Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
- Availability to be on‑call.
- Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.

Additional Experience That Helps

- Customer service experience.
- Experience making deliveries or working as a driver.
