We are hiring an experienced Operations Specialist / Senior Operations Specialist to join a leading Capital Markets Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Global Equity Clearing & Settlements , trade operations , and Canadian/US capital markets , looking to step into a senior individual contributor role with leadership responsibilities.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Global/Foreign Equity Clearing & Settlement activities across CDS, DTC, and international markets
- Resolve complex trade settlement issues and minimize settlement breaks
- Support daily operations across Canadian, US, and Global Markets
- Act as the senior operational lead and backup to the Associate Director
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency




- Collaborate with internal teams, offshore partners, and external stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Global Equity Clearing & Settlements
- Strong knowledge of Equity Trade Operations and post-trade processing
- Experience with Broadridge , CDS , DTC , and global settlement platforms
- Hands-on experience supporting Canadian & US Capital Markets
- Prior experience leading or mentoring operations teams (Team Lead/Senior Operations)
- Robust understanding of settlement breaks, reconciliations, and risk controls

Nice to Have

- Exposure to Euroclear, BNP, BPS, Arrow
- Experience leveraging AI/Copilot for operational improvements
